Bio

The Curtain is a Fort Collins-based Phish tribute focused on the high-energy, improvisational sound of Phish’s 1990s era. Formed in the summer of 2025, the band brings together four experienced Northern Colorado musicians with a shared love of Phish and a passion for the spontaneous, exploratory nature of the music.

The Curtain grew out of a musical connection between guitarist Henry Coxe and drummer Alex Jacobson while playing together in Delilah West. That shared love of Phish eventually brought bassist Ean Smith and keyboardist Andy Gent into the mix, creating a four-piece built around tight playing, deep familiarity with the music, and plenty of room to explore.

The band made its live debut at Salt Road Brewing in early 2026, where a standing-room-only crowd quickly established The Curtain as a new force in the Northern Colorado jam scene. Following the debut, Salt Road invited the band back for a five-show, once-a-month summer residency. The Curtain has since brought its high-energy, improvisational take on 1990s Phish to Salt Road and The Aggie in Fort Collins.

With a goal of packing rooms and giving Phish fans a memorable live experience, The Curtain embraces the unpredictability that makes Phish shows special — while digging deep into the songs and sounds of the band’s formative 1990s years.
